Bay Beach- Steel Pergola with Wooden Finish

BayBeach Pergola Main

About the Project

This landscape project along Bay Beach features a series of custom-engineered steel pergolas finished with a natural wood-effect beam structure and traditional reed lattice screening. Positioned along the beachfront promenade, the pergolas create a rhythmic sequence of shaded walkways and gathering areas, blending contemporary steel construction with organic materials to complement the coastal palm landscaping surrounding the site.

Amenities & Features

  • Steel-framed pergola structure — A series of robust steel frames with wood-finish cross beams form a continuous shaded canopy along the beachfront walkway.
  • Traditional reed lattice screening — Natural reed cladding on the pergola sides adds texture, privacy, and a warm coastal character to the structure.
  • Palm-lined landscape integration — Newly planted palms and shade trees are positioned throughout the pergola walkway, softening the steel structure with natural greenery.
  • Paved beachfront promenade — Structured paving ties the pergola walkway together, connecting shaded rest areas along the waterfront.
  • Sand-to-structure transition landscaping — The design integrates directly with the natural beach sand, creating a seamless flow between the landscaped hardscape and the coastal environment.
  • Modern coastal architecture — The pergola sequence complements the striking sculptural building it fronts, forming a cohesive contemporary beachfront landscape.
